While we may be swinging our clocks back an hour this Sunday (an extra hour of sleep, yay!), let's not allow ourselves to fall back into complacency, and instead, continue to swing forward to continue our progress and commitments to:
Flatten the COVID Curve -- please continue to #MaskUp and #SociallyDistance to help turn around this latest surge in cases gripping the country and globe.
Be Kind and Connect -- it IS possible to be #SociallyDistantButEmotionallyClose, thanks to technology.
Make Our Voices Heard -- #GetOutTheVote and #VoteKindness
We've come a long way as a country since 2016 (and just in this wild year of 2020). Let's continue the momentum to swing forward towards more progress, equality, safety, wellbeing, compassion and justice for all. Because our lives, and those of whom we love and care for, depend on it.
And to those of you who, for 7+ months, have diligently masked up, socially distanced, taken precautions, helped out loved ones and neighbors, foregone voluntary travel, and done your part to help get out the vote, a sincere thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your efforts and sacrifices have not been in vain -- they just may be the reason that one or more people -- whether me, or my parents, or other loved ones -- have survived and thrived through this ordeal and can continue to contribute to our society, help swing us forward, and re-fortify the fabric of our democracy for generations to come. Thank you.
🙏🏼💖
